Riding Gear Reviews
To go along with my minimalist adventure riding I obviously have to find the right gear for my riding style. Since this differs greatly from standard street riding, a lot of the gear has to serve dual purposes to suit on and off road riding. The down side is that this market is somewhat under served. You can argue that there is lots of gear out there if you do a quick google search or check the big name bike gear sites, and you would be right. there is lots of stuff out there, but take a second look at the price tag on most of it. Much like the much coveted BWM 1200GS or the KTM 1290 Super Adventure, the designer gear that goes along with it comes with similarly large price tags to those bikes. Don't get me wrong I would take either of those bikes in a heart beat and all the Klim & Touratech gear to go with it. Like most others I don't have the bank account to justify any of those purchases.
So, follow along and see some reviews of some things I think will fit the ADV bill while being budget friendly.
Bell MX-9 Adventure Helmet - Budget friendly, it does the job, and looks the part!
Acerbis Vision Handguards - Lots of light, good looks, and some protection.
